The demolition of building 75 has moved into its final stage. The work to expose the Northern boundary of building 74 is now well established, with the internal mezzanine demolition works due to start in the next few weeks. The two yellow oak doors that can be seen in the pictures, locate the old entrance to the former BAE Systems Engineering Department conference suite that has now been demolished. Estate manager Peter Melling said “DSM are running a very clean and safe site. You can now really get a feel for the open space that is going to form the yard area for building 74”.
Once the demolition works have been completed then DSM will begin a programme of surfacing the yard area and then fully cladding (with integrated roller shutter doors) the exposed face of building 74.
