Decentralisation – Steam Boiler Chimney Removal

Today saw the start of the final package of work to remove and dispose of the Steam Boiler Chimney that used to serve building 42. The works have been subcontracted to Calder Lifting who have engaged Brandshire Crane Hire. The lifting plan calls for both a 50 tonne and an 80 tonne crane to lift the chimney down.
