JayJay Media celebrates 10 years of success at the HEP

31st August 2018

Video production agency JayJay Media is celebrating ten years of business success at the Humber Enterprise Park this year.

The company, which produces corporate, commercial and broadcast video and animation, began trading from the site in 2008 and has grown to work with some of the UK’s biggest brands since, including Ronseal, Sky Sports, Smith & Nephew and BAE Systems.

In that time the company has seen many changes, including staff growth, and the addition of new services including 3D animation and licensed commercial drone operation.

“The site suits our business really well for a number of reasons”, says co-director Joe Sargieson, “the location in Brough provides great access to our clients in Hull to the East, and Sheffield and Leeds along the motorways to the West.

As a media company we are always out filming so having enough available parking on site is also key for us. And now that we have grown in size, we are finding that it is also good for our staff now who commute in from Hull, Leeds and elsewhere, so it works both ways.”

JayJay also works with many of their neighbouring business on the park including BAE Systems, Supercraft and fellow Business Centre tenants Tag Retail.

Jonathan Fell, Producer at JayJay, says, “We provide business to business services, whether that be creating a 3D animation for a medical device company or drone filming for corporate video. To be on site with such a diverse range of other businesses enables us to provide our services to our neighbouring businesses too.”

The village of Brough has also proved to be an attraction for JayJay team. Jon says, “Brough is a good place to work, it has all the facilities and shops you need if you want to pop out at lunchtime, and the surrounding countryside and foreshore provide a really pleasant environment”.

Joe sums up the experience of ten years based at the Humberside Enterprise Park, “One of our most memorable jobs was producing The Brough Centenary film, which was a short documentary film produced to mark 100 years of aircraft manufacturing here on this site in Brough. Being based at this site ourselves, we feel we are part of the industrial and commercial heritage of Humber Enterprise Park, and we are excited to be a part of the future too.”
