B-Shed Yard Progress

The works to form a yard area to the West of building 22 (B-Shed) are approaching the final stages. The Contractor CR Reynolds have been working tirelessly in sometimes horrendous conditions to form the yard area. Following reduction of levels to 600-700mm, the area has been backfilled and comnpacted with the 6F2 created by the demolition of the buildings that once stood in this area.
Works have include the installation of a network of land drains and an ACO drain through the middle of the proposed concrete hard standing, to shed water effectively from the new surface.
Concreting is programmed to start week commencing 30th January 2017.
