Hep “Working to help keep your village beautiful”

3rd March 2017

On a bright, breezy and decidedly damp spring morning, a team from the Humber Enterprise Park met up with the Elloughton-cum-brough volunteer litter pickers to help collect litter from along Welton Low Road.

Lead by the effervescent Susan Thackray, a local group of voluntary litter-pickers meet on a regular basis “working to help keep your village beautiful”.  With tenacity in abundance, Susan enthused when she told us that “we get volunteers from all walks of life, it makes me so proud that so many people care so much about their village.  Of course if we could stop this problem at the source this would be amazing, but whilst there is still litter we will keep collecting”.

Our Estate Manager Peter Melling said “It is vital for the Humber Enterprise Park, being such a key player in the local community, to support events such as these.  Shane and I collected a good 5 bags of rubbish to add to the 20+ that where collected all together”.

Anyone wishing to support these regular events can email Susan on .
